INFORMATION SHEET - U15s to Seniors

Welcome to Concord Junior Soccer Club (CJSC)

Thank you for registering for the 2026 winter season. Please read the following important information to understand what comes next.

Team Formation

If not already done so, please read the important information on how we form teams.

Teams in these age groups are typically self-organised. This means that a responsible adult (the Manager) will often recruit players of their choice to form a team. The Manager is responsible for recruiting and is required to submit the names of the players in their team to the Club Administrator as soon as practical so they can be assigned to the correct team as each player registers.

If you know your team, please contact your manager to inform them you have registered. The Manager will inform you about training days/times/locations once the Club has informed them of the training schedule which should be early March.

If you do not yet have a team, please contact the Club Administrator, Vicki (0450 527 592) as soon as possible. If enough individual players register for an age group but there is no specific team organised, the Club may invite players to a "meet-and-greet" session to organise the team and appoint a coach/manager or direct you to an existing coach/manager who may invite you to one of their training sessions.

Thinking about coaching or managing a team?

For U15s to U18s teams, please consider getting more involved with the sport your child loves. It can be so fun and rewarding, and they love having a family member involved. Don't worry, we’ll support you no matter what level of experience you have.

If you do decide to coach or manage:

  1. If you do not have a valid Working With Children Check, please complete the check ASAP via www.ocg.nsw.gov.au/child-safe-organisations/working-with-children-check and email a copy of the WWCC confirmation to mpio@concordsoccer.org.au. You will need a WWCC to register. Free for volunteers.

  2. Register yourself as a Coach/Manager via www.concordsoccer.org.au/registrations click on the U19+ tab to register as an adult.

  3. If you do not have any formal coaching qualification, or want a refresher, the Club will be hosting a training session run by Football Canterbury at Majors Bay Reserve Concord. Sign up details will be posted once dates are firm.

There will be a Coaches & Managers Information Night on Thursday 5th March where we get to meet you and discuss what needs to happen and how the Club will support you. You will receive a calendar invitation once we have announced the teams in late February.

Volunteering Opportunities

If you are unable to coach or manage, please do your best throughout the season to support those working for your children e.g. setting up or packing up the field or offer to help the coach or manager at training or game day. The Club also welcomes anyone wanting to help the Committee run game day at our home ground or to get involved with Game Leading mentoring.

Dribl App (Competition System)

We recommend you download the Dribl app onto your phone for the draw. This will also notify you when games are cancelled or moved. The first set of games do not usually appear until a week or two before the season commences.

Keep Updated

Please keep an eye on our social media (@ConcordJSC on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) and club website (www.concordsoccer.org.au) for more information on start of season activities.

Have a great season!

Cheers

Vicki Rhodes

Club Administrator
