In the 2017 season, we looked to promote and develop female football through a partnership with Sydney Girls Football Academy. While it proved successful with many girls from Concord taking part in the development program alongside members of the public, it inadvertently impacted the Club's ability to field teams in the State Cup and Champion of Champions tournaments which we have taken part in for many years.
While we will not be continuing the formal relationship with SGFA in 2018, we will work with the various football governing bodies to look into ways we can continue to promote and develop the great female talent in the Club and the area.
We thank SGFA for their involvement with the Club last season and wish them continued success with their program.
