Vale Cathy Marsh

Cathy Marsh was the partner of long time Club President, Terry (Tiger) Jones and, as such, a long-standing supporter of Concord Junior Soccer Club for many years.

As well as supporting Terry during his time playing, coaching, and conducting his substantial administrative duties, Cathy contributed to the Club through her role as a volunteer canteen assistant – a role which eventually morphed into her being appointed as Canteen Manager for several seasons. Having worked in managerial roles in retail for most of her life this position was a natural fit for Cathy. She managed to turn the small red-bricked box of the Club’s old canteen into a profit-making enterprise providing valuable funds for the Club.

Cathy served as Club Treasurer during seasons 2002 and 2003 assisting her good friends Marina Smith (Club Secretary), Angela Lukas (Competition Secretary) and volunteer club stalwart Lina Mico in the smooth running of Concord JSC.

Always bright, and affable, Cathy enjoyed her time at Edwards Park befriending many who crossed her path. In 2015 Cathy and Terry retired to her home state of Queensland to be closer to Cathy’s daughter Jacki and other members of her family.

Cathy passed away on 27^th December 2025 after bravely enduring a twelve-year struggle with leukemia.

Cathy’s funeral service will be held at the premises of Gregson and Weight Funeral Directors, Caloundra on the 12^th January 2026 at 11:00am and will be livestreamed for many who are unable to attend.
