Hi Miniroos - Welcome to the 2022 season!!
Firstly the bad news - Edwards is closed again this week. The good news is that we have access to Majors Bay Reserve (MBR) stadium for you to play this Saturday, and were able to move some Association scheduled games so our Miniroos season can kick off in style. We will be welcoming all 200 of you to play at literally the best grass roots facility in the state. We usually save MBR for a special end of season send off for the Miniroos Gala Day.
We don't have access to MBR every week and when we do the Association schedules our U8+ games there. MBR is in hot demand at the moment - we have over 900 players aged from 4 to Over 45 this season and with Edwards closed it is tighter than ever. We got lucky with the draw this week with a lot of away games so we are grabbing the opportunity to kick off.
Times will be different to the usual for this week only. Draw is below with the field picture.
U5 will play 8:30 - 9:15 and will play in the blow up fields on Fields 1- 3.
U6 will play 9:30 - 10:30 on fields 1- 3
U7 will play 10:45 to 11:45 on fields 1- 4
U6 and U7 will be playing their first games. Please turn up on time to kickoff!
There will be no training this week. We hope to get started at Edwards the following week. We will be playing until the end of August - still 19 weeks of playing time to go, plus the end of season Gala Day when we will return to MBR.
Park near the PCR testing site behind the old Concord RSL and walk through to the stadium.
Uniforms can be collected from Edwards Park clubhouse this Friday afternoon from 2pm. Call/text first 0450 527592. We will also have them at MBR for those who cannot make Friday afternoon. Turn up a little early and find Vicki in the clubroom. Wear your shin pads and boots.
