The Club has already started thinking about happier times aka the 2022 season. Here are the answers we have right now to the most frequently asked questions.
CJSC registers players from Under 5 to Over 45. Age division is determined by the year born. If your child was born on any day in 2017 they will be Under 5 in 2022. If they were born in 2016 they are Under 6. Over 35 or 45 players must turn 35/45 by the end of December 2021.
Registrations for the 2022 Winter season open in early January for ages from Under 6 to O45. Registration is online via the CJSC website.
Under 5 register in person at the clubhouse in January/February - dates for this will be confirmed December and published on the club social media in early 2022.
Registration Costs will remain the same as the 2021 season. We supply Jerseys, shorts and socks. You will need to buy Shinpads and boots. It is important to note that CJSC is a not for profit club, staffed by volunteers. This keeps our costs down and you will be expected to volunteer in some capacity - whether Coaching or Managing a team, setting up the fields, helping out in the canteen or supervising the games at Edwards once a season.
Some rough dates - these will be finalised after the AGM in December - and may possibly change due to Covid.
Online registrations will open in early January for Under 6 to Over45. These are done online.
Under 5 (Born 2017) will have a choice of three registration sessions, at the Edwards Park Clubhouse in January and the first half of February.
Grading sessions for U8 to U14 inclusive will be held around the second and third week of February. Players will need to attend two sessions.
Teams are finalised and submitted to the CDSFA by the end of February.
Season kicks off in the first half of April.
Information on how we form teams HERE.
Miniroos Under 5 to U7 information sheets for the 2021 season HERE - dates will move slightly, but the info sheet won't be updated for 2022 until we have a confirmed season start date from the Association.
Please note that we have been hitting capacity in the last couple of years for the Miniroos programs, and accept registrations strictly in the order they are received. A waitlist will be formed in March once we hit capacity.
Can't wait? There is a Spring/Summer 6-a-side Soccer competition up at Majors Bay Reserve (MBR). We are unsure when this will be permitted to go ahead due to the pandemic. Contact admin@CBFI.com.au for further information and to register a team. The competition would normally start September/October. Competitions start at Under 6.
