End of Season tidy up

The end of the season is racing towards us - only two matches to go! Covid has made this an odd year and tradition is still being upended even in the season wrap up.

U8 & Above Presentation Days

As many of you know Presentation ceremonies are not on this year, strictly prohibitied under the Covid regulations. While disappointing, looking back we have been lucky to have this season, and missing Presentation is a small price when compared to losing a whole season as happened in Victoria.

Recognition is important so we have ordered the trophies and will issue them to Team Managers. Particularly for our younger players these are recognition for their hard work and tenacity this season, and this deserves to be recognised by the club. We hope they will be presented with the respect the players deserve after this weird season. They will be available shortly after the season ends - we have to wait and see who wins! Some divisions are still too close to call (U16/3 looking at you!)

Reminder that jerseys are due back to the club this year. Please bring another shirt to change into at your last game. Using jerseys for two years instead of one saves a LOT of money at registration time.

Miniroos (Under 5 to U7)

Miniroos will have their trophies presented on the last day of play - 3rd October @Edwards

U6 and U7 can look forward to a very special Gala Day - to be played at Majors Bay Reserve on the 10th October. This will be their first chance to tryout the synthetic pitch, and their parents the first chance to check out the stadium. We have invited other clubs in the Canada Bay Council to attend and give our players their first taste of outside competition, Interlions have already confirmed. We hope to hear soon from Abbotsford, Russell Lea WFC and Five Dock.

Canada Bay Council Mayor Angelo Tsirekas and NSW MP John Sidoti will also be attending the Gala Day. Both were very supportive players in our long term campaign for the synthetic pitch, and we are delighted they can attend and witness what their support has done for soccer in the area.
