CLUB HISTORY

Concord Junior Soccer Club Inc was founded in 1958 and Incorporated in 1992. Edwards Park has been our home ground since the Club's inception and is ideally situated in Wellbank Street, Concord, adjacent to the trendy Majors Bay Rd strip, being the gateway to the new housing developments in Cabarita and Breakfast Point.

CONCORD JUNIOR SOCCER CLUB

Concord Junior Soccer Club Inc is a non-profit organization and is run by a dedicated committee of ten members who are all volunteers. Although the Committee's main responsibility is to promote and encourage the youth of the Concord area to take up the ‘World Game’ of soccer football, their success comes from offering an enjoyable team sport to all players regardless of ability, at an affordable cost.

The club fields teams in the Canterbury and District Soccer Football Association, which consists of 22 clubs from Sydney's Inner West and surrounding areas. The district takes in the areas of Drummoyne, Balmain, Leichhardt, Fivedock, Abbotsford, Concord, Strathfield, and Burwood and extends to Roselands, Earlwood, Marrickville, Hurlstone Park and all other areas within.

2012 SEASON

I would like to take the opportunity to welcome on behalf of the CJSC committee all new and returning players to the 2012 soccer season. We hope that we can build on the success of previous seasons and develop the stars of the future.

2012 sees CJSC continue with the program for 4 and 5 year olds to play and train within inflatable fields and with our continued small sided games, under the excellent management and direction of 'Tiger' Jones, we now have over 200 children playing and loving this small sided game.

We are also continuing with our coach the coach development program and with the assistance of our newly appointed Coaching Director and experienced coaches, we will be working with team coaches to improve training and skill levels of all players.

We are looking to build relationships with other clubs, to promote fixtures between the clubs from various teams, I can see that the club will have an excellent year. Looking forward to seeing you all down at Edwards Park.

For all players, coaches, managers and parents have a great season and I will see you on the park.

CJSC President
